Dr Paul Twomey is President and Chief Executive Officer of Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers ([ICANN]) and currently Senior President of ICAN. Before joining ICANN, Paul was the founder of ArgoP@acific, a prominent international consultancy and investment firm. He was also the founding CEO of the National Office for the Information Economy and the Australian federal government’s special advisor for the Information Economy and Technology. On Monday 20 July 2009, Paul Twomey addressed The Sydney Institute to outline the opportunities for Australia engaging with the internet and global technology.
