The Hon John Hatzistergos is the NSW Attorney General, Minister for Industrial Relations and Vice President of the NSW Executive Council. Since entering parliament in 1999, he has handled a number of high profile portfolios, including Health, Justice and Fair Trading. He was also senior lawyer for the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions and Councillor and Deputy Mayor of Canterbury Council. John Hatzistergos addressed The Sydney Institute on Monday 22 June 2009 to argue the case against an Australian Charter of Rights.
